The History of the Ontario Lodge

The White Eagle work in Canada began in the seventies in Mississauga, Ontario with one person who invited friends to her home to hear about White Eagle's teaching.

Then one spring day in the eighties, when the sun shone brightly on the pink and white blossoms, we had our first White Eagle get-together in Mississauga. The seed was planted in fertile ground, and over the ensuing years a group developed in Stoney Creek and another in Toronto. These two active groups hosted several seminars in Ontario, attracting people from across our beautiful land, the United States and the United Kingdom.

On March 21st 1993, the two groups came together to form the Ontario Daughter Lodge (ODL). We were delighted to welcome Rev. Jean LeFevre, Lodge Mother for the Americas and Colum Hayward from the Mother Lodge in England, who officiated at the Dedication Service. Jean LeFevre was accompanied by her husband, John. A welcome guest was Clive Steyning who flew all the way from BC to be with us.

The same year saw the birth of our newsletter 'Drumbeat'. We were on our way!
