The History of the British Columbia Lodge
The series of events that resulted in the dedication of a Daughter Lodge in British Columbia started with two people who discovered the White Eagle teaching towards the end of the 1980's.
The White Eagle Teaching is Embraced
Ann Force decided visit to the London Lodge and talked with Colum Hayward. He provided a package of information and referred Ann to Jean LeFevre, the leader of the Center for the Americas in Texas, who happened to be visiting England. Jean had already planned a visit to Vancouver as well, so she met Ann and friends in August 1990. From that point, Ann and Clive Steyning formed a group to do the work of the White Eagle Lodge.
In the beginning there were only two lodge members and some interested friends. Later, an absent healing group was formed. A year passed before two more members of the group joined the Lodge, giving us the foursquare on which the group has been built.
White Eagle Centre Dedication
In February of 1994, the church was officially dedicated as a White Eagle Centre by Pat Harrison, leader of the Ontario Daughter Lodge and the White Eagle work in Canada.
British Columbia Daughter Lodge Dedication
1994-1999 saw us mature into a dedicated group. Many of the group are now contact healers and most of the group are also absent healers and lone healers. The group's growth is a credit to the dedication and commitment of its members.
On September 5th, 1999, the group's hard work paid off. The centre was dedicated as the British Columbia Daughter Lodge for the White Eagle work. We were pleased to welcome for the occasion: Colum Hayward from the Mother Lodge in England; Rev. Jean LeFevre, lodge mother for the Americas, along with Jane Sorbi and John LeFevre from Texas; and once again Pat Harrison came out from Ontario.
